See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Ver.9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Ver.10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Ver.11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Why was our Mediator called Christ?

Ver.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Ver.20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

[t] Acts 3:21-22 — Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Luke 4:18, 21
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Ver.21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

[v] Hebrews 5:5-7 — So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. Ver.6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Ver.7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Philippians 2:8-11
— And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Ver.9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Ver.10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Ver.11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
