  1. Westminster Confession, Chapter 2, Section 2

God has all life, glory, goodness, and blessedness in and of himself. He alone is in and of Himself all-sufficient. He does not need anything from the creatures He has made. He does not get any of His glory from them. He is manifesting His own glory in, by, to, and on them. He alone is the source of all being. Everything is from Him, through Him, and to Him. God has complete sovereign dominion over everything. He can do whatever he wants through anything, for anything, or to anything. God sees everything plain and clear. His knowledge is infinite, infallible, and does not depend on anything created. To God nothing is uncertain or contingent. He is completely holy in all his counsels, works, and commands. God deserves whatever worship, service, or obedience he wants from angels, men, and all other creatures.

[I'm not sure what God's counsels are here. Are they his advice to us? or are they his reasoning to him self?]
